Spooktacular family fun at London Zoo this Halloween half-term

Boo at the Zoo

Saturday 19 October – Sunday 3 November 2024

For Halloween fun that’s hairy-but-not-too-scary, families can head to London Zoo this October half-term for Boo at the Zoo.

The fun kicks off at the eerie Halloween hub in the Wildlife Garden, where kids can enjoy spine-tingling Halloween-themed activities. Our Pumpkin Patch awaits, where little ones can pick their own pumpkin, before decorating it in a suitably spooky painting workshop.

Kids can embark on the Race Against Extinction Trail, learning about species that are Extinct in the Wild. They’ll journey through the zoo to meet the Zoo’s incredible Extinct in the Wild animals, like the Socorro Dove, collecting colourful sand along the way as a keepsake reminder of how time is running out to save these species. The trail finishes at the Extinction Graveyard, a stark reminder of why we all need to do our bit to help wildlife.

In celebration of International Bat Week, which falls on 24-31 October, guests can discover the hidden world of bats at the Bat Talks or craft their own bat mask before meeting the Endangered Rodrigues fruit bats – the ‘flying foxes’ of the Zoo’s Rainforest Life exhibit, London's only living rainforest.

Elsewhere, step into the eight-legged world of In with the Spiders, where giant webs will surround the most fearless of folk.

With a jam-packed itinerary, from Halloween crafts to exploring the zoo's over 10,000 incredible animals, London Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo guarantees wickedly wonderful family fun. Kids can trick-or-treat themselves to toasted marshmallows, indulge in face painting, and look out for our Golden Pumpkin, hidden daily for lucky guests to find. Under 3s go free, so book your tickets today at www.londonzoo.org
