Christmas in Bournemouth is back and offering an immersive experience like no other. Covering 300,000 sq ft, this fun-filled Christmas wonderland spans The Square, historic Bournemouth Lower Gardens and the town’s famous beachfront to offer one of the best Christmas experiences in the south.

This year’s Christmas in Bournemouth will feature the Christmas Tree Wonderland light trail, outdoor SKATE Ice Rink and over 40 chalet huts in the bustling Christmas Market. Local traders and food stalls will offer a range of gifts, crafts, and festive treats to surprise and delight visitors from across the country.

The two-story Alpine Lodge will provide a cosy space to enjoy seasonal food, drinks and live entertainment. With indoor and outdoor seating, it offers views of the market and ice rink, so visitors can enjoy a crisp beer or warming hot chocolate in the merriest of settings.

Events at the lodge will include Monday Quiz Nights, Wednesday Christmas Karaoke and Sunday live music sessions. Choirs and carolers will perform weekly, bringing festive cheer to the square, adding to the magical atmosphere in Bournemouth.

Family-friendly activities will include free face painting, cookie decorating and a special postbox for letters to Santa. Children can also participate in a holiday trail around Bournemouth’s Christmas attractions, with prizes given out weekly and a grand prize on Christmas Day.

This free event regularly attracts over 4million visitors and has its grand opening at 6pm on November 14th 2024 with the market opening at 11am the following day. Christmas in Bournemouth runs until January 1st, 2025.
