We were lucky enough to be given the Xtend Scooter by SmarTrike to try out recently to review and we’ve been having lots of fun testing it out!

Here’s what we thought.

Assembly

If you read the instructions properly (not my greatest skill!) then this is so easy to put together! The scooter comes in 3 pieces and they slot together really easily. The only thing to note is that you need to push the handlebars into the base of the scooter by pushing it in horizontal to the board. Once it’s in you can twist the handlebars round into the normal position. I tried turning it around first but it doesn’t turn without the handlebars in.

There are then just a few screws to secure everything into place and you’re good to go. The scooter comes with all the tools you need, which is great.

There are 3 settings of how long the board of the scooter can be, so this can grow with your child. The handlebars are easily adjustable too so my 9-year-old had just as much fun on it as our 3-year-old friend.

The scooter looks smart and the flashing lights are a great addition that add to the fun. The best feature for me, as a parent, is that it fold down so easily and compactly. With a boot already full of so many other bags and bikes, this scooter slotted in perfectly.
