Pumpkin Picking at Darts Farm
Ok, I will admit it… I am totally unprepared for Halloween! I have seen the facebook posts of happy families picking their pumpkins, but it didn’t quite register that I really should get myself sorted so we don’t miss out on all the good pumpkins!
Luckily my lovely friend is more organised than me and she invited us to go Pumpkin picking out at Darts farm this afternoon, I’m so glad she did as we had such a good time!
Even though the event already has been running from Wednesday 20th October, there was still a massive choice of pumpkins left for us to choose from. The parking is always really good there, so I always mange to get a decent sized space near the children’s area – which is a huge bonus for me.
The pumpkin picking area is set up really well, with a huge field full of pumpkins ready for you to choose. The prices are laid out clearly, with four different prices for small, medium, large or extra large pumpkins. You then take your pumpkins to a small tent, where you can pay by card.
After picking our pumpkins our children had a great time playing in the outdoor play area and seeing all the animals. They particularly liked the new hen house section, where they could feed the chickens.
We rounded off our trip with a trip to the amazing Darts Farm café, for delicious milkshakes and cake! What’s not to like :)
The event is running until Sunday 31st October, so there’s plenty of time left for you to pay a visit. There were so many good pumpkins left, so I would definitely recommend a visit.
