Boo at the Zoo at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
Get jitters with the critters
Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 October
For hairy but not too scary Halloween fun, families can trick-or-treat themselves to a trip to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo this October half-term - with Boo at the Zoo.
From Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 October, visitors to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo can celebrate all things spooky during a fang-tastic day out for the whole family.
Fearless families can be-head to the Spooky Magic Show, or Spooky Disco, where spirited youngsters can boo-gie and show off their fantastical outfits – and enter a creepy costume contest.
Intrepid kids can ride the Steam Train and help a wizard complete his spell - by spotting mischievous ghosts and items from his potions kit hidden along the ride - before decorating their own Petrifying Pumpkins for Halloween, alongside other Creepy Crafts, using recycled materials to respect the planet.
Clever little monsters will enjoy Terrifying Talks to learn how meerkats are able to eat scorpions despite their venom, as well as more incredible adaptations creatures use to survive nature’s most poisonous beasts.
Best known for its colossal beasts, like the Zoo’s herd of endangered Asian elephants and two species of rhinoceros, the conservation zoo is home to 10,000 animals, from leaping lemurs to adorable otters. Autumn visitors will be able to see some of the Zoo’s recent additions, including a baby Asian elephant, playing with the herd.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo is dead set to be a spooktacular day out. Join in the fun from Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 October, and book your zoo tickets online now at www.zsl.org
