Learning about lower case letters
If your little ones are learning about letters, we have the perfect activity for you!
For this activity, I got some pieces of A5 paper and in the centre, I wrote the letter I wanted my children to find, for example ‘a’ . I made sure I made the central letter quite large, so it stood out. Then around the rest of the paper I wrote the letter again several times, plus a few other letters.
The aim of the activity was for my children to find all the a’s (or whichever the letter in the centre is) and circle them.
This activity is a really fun way for children to learn about their letters.
This is also a really good activity that you can take with you, for example, to do in the car on a long journey or to do at the table when you are eating out as a family.
Tip: Children generally learn lowercase numbers first, so it’s a good idea to try and use all lowercase letters when you are first starting 😃
