FREE EVENTS FOR KIDS DURING SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AT MARKET PLACE

A week of free events for children from 26th May - 1st June at Market Place Harrow
FREE hour long Arts & Crafts workshops all week and a children’s entertainer will be on site with magic shows, games and music

Looking to keep the kids entertained this May half term? Market Place has you covered with a week jammed packed with activities for the little ones. Kid’s meals will also be available from Market Place’s wide range of street food vendors starting from £5.99 with a drink included.

Does your child have a creative flair? Keep the mess out of your home and bring them along to an hour-long, free, arts & crafts workshop hosted by Midas Touch Designs and Proper Little Painters. Children can get themselves ready for a burst of colour and creativity including painting, clay sculpting and more.

To keep the imagination flowing, children under the age of 8 can also get involved with Market Place’s drawing competition and could be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher for toy shop, The Entertainer. To take part, all they need to do is enter a drawing of their very own menu of their food favourites; including as many or as little items as they choose. To enter your drawings email a copy to contact@marketplacelondon.com, winners will be announced on 3rd June - good luck!

If arts and crafts aren’t one for your child, bring them to Market Place Harrow for free face painting by Pixie Dust Brushes and Auntie Julie’s hour of entertainment. Every day throughout the week-long event, Julie, the entertainment extraordinaire, will be on hand to make the kids giggle with puppet shows and circus skills. You can also expect a magic show, games and music to dance along to - enough to tire the little ones out before bed time.

Market Place is also hosting a Family Day at its Peckham location as part of its wider week-long Peckham Festival. Taking place on Monday 27th May, the event includes free face painting, a balloon artist on-site and children’s meals available from £5.99. Alongside Market Place’s bonanza extravaganza for the kids, there are also a range of activities for adults. These include a tarot-based cocktail-making class, salsa dancing courtesy of the iconic Rumba Latina dance group, as well as a full-day event dedicated to collecting food donations for the local community via the Peckham Soup Kitchen. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, head down to Market Place Peckham for £5 pints all week or to watch the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
